Concept Car - Venturi America Electric Sport Cars Concept 2010

This new American dream is embodied by this new model from VENTURI : a high-riding electric sports car that one can see oneself driving, one’s hair in the wind, through the fantastic scenery offered by this vast continent. Venturi unveiled a new concept cars at the 2010 Paris Motor Show known as the Concept Car - Venturi America Electric Sport Cars Concept 2010. The dune-buggy inspired pays a tribute to traditional America while incorporating some ecological awareness.
Monaco-based Venturi Automobiles, builders of the original $400,000 Fetish all-electric sports car, and a series of innovative zero-emission vehicles since, are displaying its newest showcase electric car, the Venturi AMERICA.
A real synthesis of two exclusive automobile worlds, the AMERICA is both an electric sports car and an all-terrain leisure vehicle. This “mix” approach ensures extreme versatility in use. Its performance, balance and sports car road-holding, combined with its particularly high body and specific tyre mounting, ensure that it is equally at ease on steep paths as on the highway. This electric “Buggy” offers the possibility of venturing off the beaten track while respecting the environment in terms of both noise pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
Equipped with the same motor of over 300 hp as the VENTURI FÉTISH, this new-era “buggy” is, in fact, a high-powered lightweight vehicle with a chassis specially designed to suit its particularly high body. The AMERICA is nevertheless an acceleration car that symbolizes “cool green attitude” while being a luxury technological product.
The motor is powered by a new 54 kWh lithium ion polymer battery pack and Ventec-developed battery management system (BMS), which provides a range of up to 300 km at a stabilized speed of 90 km/h (190 miles at 56 mph stabilized). It can recharge using a standard electrical socket in 8 hours or at fast charge terminals in 3 hours.
The Venturi America has a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph). French electric carmaker says the car has the first chassis specifically designed to house a large volume of batteries, while the carbon monocoque provides exceptional protection for its occupants.

Concept Car - Jaguar C-X75 Electric Supercars Concept 2010

The C-X75 concept cars is both a celebration of 75 years of iconic Jaguar design and a look into the future of automotive technology. “Performance through innovation has always been a Jaguar hallmark. From the beginning, cars such as the C-Type and D-Type pioneered aluminum construction, aerodynamic design, racing monocoques and disc brakes. The C-X75 demonstrates that the company is still leading the field in automotive design and technology.” Dr Ralf Speth, Chief Executive Officer, Jaguar Land Rover.
Jaguar Concept Car - Jaguar C-X75 Electric Supercars Concept 2010 is shorter, slimmer and lower than most supercars, and the Jaguar designers have made the concept car’s aerodynamics as efficient as possible to enhance performance, notably the exhaust-blown underbody aero diffuser. Matt Beavan, the car’s principal designer, also says, “We wanted to emphasize how the air makes its way not just over the car but is also channeled into the rear air box. When operating at 80,000 rpm, each gas turbine requires 25,000 liters of air per minute, which means we need a series of carefully honed intakes.”
At the 2010 Paris Auto Show, the Jaguar C-X75 Concept Cars has finally been revealed after months of tantalizing tidbits from Jaguar designers and executives. The surprise is, this supercar is powered by an innovative powertrain that combines hub-mounted electric motors and twin micro gas turbines. The Jaguar C-X75 is described by company executives as a “range-extended electric two-seater supercar.”
The C-X75’s 580kW (778bhp) propulsion system combines powerful 145kW (195bhp) electric motors at each wheel for outstanding performance. At the center of the car sit state-of-the-art, mid-mounted micro gas-turbines. These can either generate 140kW (188bhp) to charge the batteries and extend the range of the car to a remarkable 900km (560 miles) – enough to drive from London to Berlin on a single tank – or when in Track mode provide supplementary power directly to the electric motors. The four electric motors provide torque-vectored, all-wheel drive traction and grip, essential in a car that produces 580kW (778bhp) and 1600Nm (1180lb ft) of torque.
The plug-in, electric drive supercar has an all-electric range of 110 km (68 miles) plus a potential top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph), acceleration from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds, and 80-145 km/h (50-90 mph) in 2.3 seconds. Active aerodynamics allow for a simple fuselage section that remains stable at very high speeds. The plug-in will produce 28 grams of CO2 per kilometer on the EU test cycle, according to Jaguar.

Concept Car - Nissan Townpod Concept 2010

Nissan has revealed its Townpod EV concept cars, a sort of larger, more amorphous take on the Cube and Leaf. Singularly Japanese in feel, the Townpod is intended to bridge the world of private and commercial vehicles. According to the splendiforously indulgent press release, the Townpod targets everyone from young entrepreneurs to first-time home builders and retirees looking to turn their hobby into a paycheck.
Nissan's  take on an all-electric city vehicle has been revealed the new Townpod Concept Cars, debut at the 2010 Paris Auto Show of several innovative concepts designed by manufacturers coming from around the world. Concept Car - Nissan Townpod Concept 2010, a vehicle designed to adapt to driver’s way of living. Or at least this is how Nissan sees it. Externally Nissan Townpod consist of many familiar elements, yet it is different.
Nissan Townpod Concept, it’s also a green machine, with power coming from an electric motor of unspecified output, which in turn is powered by an array of lithium ion batteries. In fact, this is the same powertrain as found in the 2012 Nissan Lead that is set to go on sale this December. Compared with a white T-shirt by the Japanese manufacturer, the Nissan Townpod concept is said to be suitable for business or pleasure or for those to whom business is pleasure. The concept cars combines the benefits of a passenger car with the practicality of a light commercial vehicle.
The car is decidedly more van-like with its split rear doors. The rear features back lights on the right, a number plate on the left, and a rear-door handle set into a concave surface . Viewed from above the car's space-maximising rectangular footprint flows into an elliptical roof, offering more graceful lines as well as increased aerodynamic efficiency.
François Bancon, general manager of Nissan's Exploratory and Advance Planning Department, elaborates, 'Only they know what is essential for their lives, so it is logical that they should be the ones who determine the ultimate specification of their cars. For them an off-the-shelf solution is not enough and the best-equipped people to tailor-make their cars are themselves. What is more revealing is that Nissan Townpod users do not appreciate stereotypes or status symbols. For them, the ultimate status is to have no status.'
Just as Nissan Townpod can connect wirelessly with the driver's PDA, so it will also be able to access occupants personal music collections, or what ever device they use to receive Internet radio. "These devices may remain in passengers' pockets, but it is also beneficial to keep them in within view, in some kind of bracket.
But we do not know what these devices of the future will look like, let alone where passengers will want to keep them. So, we have developed The Puck", Bancon concluded. "The self employed tend to have very high expectations. They need to make the most of every investment. They will be early adopters of the possibilities made available through the convergence of electric-vehicle innovations and information and technology." Bancon said.
"At its core, a car is a means to transport people or goods from one place to another as simply and easily as possible. Nissan Townpod's design supports the essence of its function. It is a smart car for people who demand more."

Luxurious Cars - Bentley Mulsanne luxury 2010

Nearly 80 years later, while paying respect to this illustrious past, the new Mulsanne is a thoroughly modern statement of luxury driving and grand touring. Conceived, styled and engineered entirely at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, England, the Mulsanne, with its completely new and unique platform, goes into production next year in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility within the Crewe factory. The Luxurious Cars - Bentley Mulsanne luxury 2010 design team, lead by Dirk van Braeckel, have created a flagship that offers the classic sporting, styling cues long-associated with Bentley - expressed in a thoroughly contemporary way. Mulsanne is an entirely new car, designed, engineered and to be manufactured at our factory in Crewe, England. This early motoring masterpiece represented the last big Bentley that was designed, engineered and built from the ground up by Bentley engineers - until now. Bentley Motors unveiled the Mulsanne, the company’s all-new flagship grand tourer, at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in Monterey, California. The Mulsanne was inspired by the 8-litre Bentley of 1930-31, which at the time was the largest and most luxurious cars in the world and was conceived as a halo car at the top of the Bentley range. And it was W.O.’s own sensitively conserved company car that shared the podium with the new Mulsanne in Pebble Beach. The return of the Mulsanne name to a car carrying Bentley’s iconic ‘Winged B’ emblem underlines the company’s racing pedigree and nowhere reflects that heritage better than the famed Le Mans circuit, the scene of no fewer than six Bentley triumphs. Few places offer a stronger or more emotive connection with the Bentley marque than the famed Mulsanne corner. The Bentley 8-litre displayed alongside the Mulsanne in California was first shown at the 1930 London Motor Show.To push around that 5,700 pounds, Bentley has opted to use a 6.75 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine making 505-hp with a peak torque of 752 lb-ft. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with electronic shift interface, sport mode and steering-wheel mounted paddle-shifters – the Bentley Mulsanne goes from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 184 mph. Fuel-economy is estimated at a combined 14 mpg. It was the second-built and was W.O. Bentley’s company car for two years. Capable of reaching more than 100 mph, the 8-litre demonstrated W.O. Bentley’s ambition and ability to build a grand luxury car capable of surpassing every other leading manufacturer of the day. A total of 100 cars were built in 1930 and 1931.“The 8-litre’s breathtaking performance and quality was perhaps the finest example of a ‘pure’ grand Bentley. Every mechanical detail carried W.O. Bentley’s unique stamp and it was the clearest demonstration of a car built without compromise,” commented Dr. Ulrich Eichhorn, Member of the Board Engineering. “The Mulsanne has been designed with exactly the same guiding principles, so it is entirely fitting that these Bentleys from different eras share the same stage.” The Bentley Mulsanne will go on sale from mid 2010.

Concept Car - Audi Avatar Electric Supercar Concept

The Audi Avatar is a concept  vehicle which was created by Edwin Conan (Yi Yuan), a graduate of  RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) University in Australia.  The Avatar was developed during Edwin's final year at the university as  part of his degree project.
This futuristic concept car features 4 extremely powerful in-wheel electric motors powered by  supercharge-ion batteries. The ultra lightweight aerodynamic body along  with the powerful backend, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just  2.9 seconds and can achieve the top speed of over 360km/h with  responsive handling. The Audi Avatar is a 3-seater electric supercar concept   specially designed for the drivers of 2032 to enjoy the  pleasure of  driving that they experienced playing racing games during  their  childhood days. The appearance of the car is much  identical with the  science fiction flying cars we used to watch.

The  Audi Avatar concept car is an electric powered supercar concept which is designed for  about 20-25 years in the future. The shape was inspired by the 1937 Auto  Union Type C Streamline racing car, and both cars - even though they  are separated by a century - share the same clinical lines and  pronounced wheel arches.
There are no conventional doors to the Avatar concept car, instead the vehicle  utilizes a three-part canopy which opens upward to provide entry and  exit. The main canopy opens forward together with the steering wheel and  the dashboard, while two smaller canopies above the passenger seats  open backwards. At the same time a panel in the bodywork drops down to  act as a step. Concept Car - Audi Avatar Electric Supercar Concept.
The interior of the Audi Avatar  features a three-seat layout with the driver sitting in a central  position forward of the passenger seats. The driver is met with a  futuristic dashboard which consists of a transparent LCD display which  provides all essential driving data. In the center of the steering wheel  is another screen which provides navigation information. Additional  information can also be projected onto the canopy to provide a  heads-up-display similar to those found in high performance aircraft.
Thanks to a drive-by-wire system the  Avatar's steering wheel can be swapped out quickly and easily in favor  of a joystick or even a keypad depending on driver preferences.
Powering the Audi Avatar is an all-electric drivetrain which comprises  of four individual electric motors (one for each wheel), and a pair of  high-performance battery packs. The battery packs are split in two to  provide better weight distribution, one is located at the front and one  at the rear. In total the projected output is 544 horsepower, and 4,500  Nm (3,319 lb-ft) of torque. This gives the car a theoretical top speed  of 223 mph (360 Km/h), and a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 2.9 seconds.
The wheels of the Avatar are housed inside the car's four 'legs'. The legs are constructed from a deformable material which allows it to change shape when the wheel is turned. To increase the vehicle's agility and handling, the Avatar features a four-wheel-steering system. The front wheels provide most of the steering, while the rear wheels can turn up to 10 degrees.

Concept Car - New Hyundai RB Concept 2010

The RB projects a coupe-like dynamic styling that is sculpted, stately and performance-oriented. Hyundai Motor Company introduced a new sub-compact family sedan concept RB at the 2010 Moscow International Motor Show (MIMS). Today, Hyundai unveiled the new RB Concept, which shows that very vehicle and is already headed for production.
New Hyundai RB Concept 2010 With elegant lines that resemble a calligrapher’s “orchid strokes,” the concept RB continues Hyundai Motor’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design philosophy that injects sophistication and dynamic angles into the shape of a vehicle. Like any timeless work of art, the fluidic essence that characterizes molding design of Hyundai’s latest models is inspired by nature, realizing the harmonic coexistence of all things created.
The hot-looking Accent RB concept car is believed to be previewing the US-market Accent, which is scheduled to go on sale early next year. The concept car features similar front fascia design as early prototype models caught in the States recently, which means that the US-spec Accent will probably look very close to the RB concept.
According to Hyundai, the all-new Accent sub-compact sedan will be available with 1.4L or 1.6L in-line four cylinder gasoline engines when it hits the streets. The 1.6L engine packs 124 horsepower and 156 Nm of torque, while 1.4L unit generates 107 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque. The powerful and fuel-efficient Gamma engines will be mated to 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
The strong design hints of the production version are highlighted in concept RB’s large hexagonal front grill, headlamps and “L”-shaped fog lamps that give luxurious and exquisite looks.
